Koimakattil Thomas Stephen was born in Thevara, Cochin in India. He was the 8th of nine siblings. As a teenager, he moved to the present state of Gujarat which was formerly known as Bombay. He worked as an accountant at AG Office of Gujarat State. Soon after, he got married and had three sons. He passed his state exam of which five candidates were chosen for the Indian Railway Guard. He travelled all over India as a Guard on many trains. He loved his career.

Koimakattil Thomas Stephen was born in Thevara, Cochin in India. He was the 8th of nine siblings. As a teenager, he moved to the present state of Gujarat which was formerly known as Bombay. He worked as an accountant at AG Office of Gujarat State. Soon after, he got married and had three sons. He passed his state exam of which five candidates were chosen for the Indian Railway Guard. He travelled all over India as a Guard on many trains. He loved his career.
In his late thirties, he abandoned the life he had worked so hard to build up and came to America for the opportunity to have a better life for his sons. This was a very hard decision for him, but he went through with it knowing how good this would be for his family.
He started his life in America in Galveston, TX and then moved to New York. He lived in New York for 23 years and then eventually came to Houston and settled in Stafford, Promenade.
Papa suffered a lot these past couple of years with many health problems. He fought for as long as he could until his death on August 3, 2017. He was 75 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Stephen and three sons Wilford, Alfred, and Dominic Stephen. He has four grand children, Nicole, Robert, Allen, and Julia Stephen.
